Riviera Maya Golf Club hosts the 2019 Mercedes Trophy National Grand Final
One of Mexico's most recognized golf courses, the Riviera Maya Golf Club, hosted the National Final of the 2019 Mercedes Trophy last Saturday, August 31.
The winners of the tournament's nine stages, which took place in different courses throughout Mexico, gathered at the spectacular Riviera Maya course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
At around 7:00 am the enthusiastic golfers reached the Clubhouse, where a delicious breakfast awaited them, giving them the energy they needed to compete in this long-awaited final. After registering, the staff directed the participants to the Driving Range, where the finalists' equipment was already packed onto their respective buggies and in front of their personalized practice positions.
After warming up and fine-tuning their swings, the traditional photo shoot with all the participants took place.
The tournament started at 9:00 am sharp, and all the players started to swing after hearing the opening shot. It was a splendid morning, and although the clouds started rolling in late in the morning, the participants were able to finish their rounds before a massive storm discharged its fury over the area in the afternoon.
The players enjoyed from the very outset, as there were a number of special prizes, including the traditional hole-in-one on the 15th hole (the prize: a Mercedes-Benz automobile) and the most accurate drive on the 10th hole, the winner of which would be awarded a trip to the 2020 Open, to be held at the Royal St. Georges course in England.
For its part, Bahia Principe Residences Riviera Maya sponsored hole 4, offering refreshments to the participants as they marveled at the latest creation of the residential complex called Khan Ha, a truly luxurious condominium with amazing views of the golf course.

The individual winners of the tournament secured a berth at the International Grand Final in Stuttgart in Germany, where they can visit the Mercedes-Benz facilities and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
The presence at the tournament of the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Mexico, Mr. Jaime Cohen, and that of representatives of the rest of the sponsors is worthy of note.
