More details about the renovation of the hotel Bahia Principe Grand Tulum on the Riviera Maya.
Fronting the emblematic beaches of Tulum, the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum wanted to take advantage of its privileged natural surroundings to enhance it even more, thus achieving a unique and immersive experience for its guests.
For this purpose, rooms and common areas have been redesigned following the same conceptual line: the ancestral Mexican and Mayan tradition. A multitude of decorative and architectural details around the whole complex make it possible to perceive in every nook and cranny the idea that they wanted to transmit with its reinvention: the concept of the “Origin” of the Mayan culture.
In order to achieve this, textures and materials reminiscent of the ancestral traditions of this civilisation have been used, while at the same time opting for modern and functional touches.
Gastronomy takes on a special role in the renovated Bahia Principe Grand Tulum through its themed restaurants and the main buffet, wonderful places to discover new flavours. Tradition, culture and time come together in unique spaces for the enjoyment of different and exquisite dishes, from the Far Eastern specialities of the Indian Restaurant to the most traditional Mexican cuisine, including the exquisite delicacies of the Gourmet Restaurant and the most authentic flavours in the Rodizio Restaurant.
Other facilities include the swimming pool, the sundeck, the wet bar or the renovated theatre, inspired by the Mayan warriors, where different shows will be offered every night, conveying the origin of the Mayan tradition.
“At Bahia Principe we remain firmly committed to offering our guests unique and exciting experiences through unique spaces that contribute to generating unforgettable memories of their stays in our establishments,” says Ignacio Subias, Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort General Manager “For the occasion, we sought to reinforce the link between the hotel’ and its surroundings. An incomparable natural setting that radiates history and tradition at every turn,” he adds.
