General conditions
A-GO-GO FORMAT

Rules:

The golf tournament will be governed by the rules of the United States Golf Association (USGA) adopted by the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG) and local rules.

The decisions of the organizing committee will be final and unappealable.

Format: A-Go-Go Scramble (3-player teams).

All team players start off with their own ball. For the next stroke, each team chooses the most convenient ball, and all team players continue from that point on, and so on, until the hole ends with the first ball to enter the cup. At least 4 opening shots from each team member must be used. On the fairway, the ball can be moved up to one club length without moving closer to the hole or leaving the fairway. When in the rough and/or hazards the ball can be moved one club length without moving closer to the hole or leaving the rough or hazard. On the fringes, the ball can be moved one scorecard length without moving closer to the hole or onto the green. To speed up the game, the top score for each hole will be bogey. The same criterion applies when a hole is left unplayed or unfinished. There are no limits with regard to the use of clubs: team members can share or lend clubs amongst themselves, and help each other in distances, lies, and alignment. The team is required to turn in the official scorecard at the card table no later than 15 minutes after the end of its round. The scorecard must be signed by at least two players from each team. The deadline for turning in all scorecards is 5 pm. To speed up the pace of the game, we will use "tap-in circles". A ball is considered to be in the hole when any part of the ball touches the circle. In case of any doubt or controversy two balls must be played and it will be the Organizing Committee who sanctions the matter and decides which one will be taken into account. Any protest must be in writing, signed and submitted in due time and form to the Organizing Committee immediately after the end of the tournament. No jeans, bathing suits, men's sleeveless shirts, barefoot play or inappropriate shoes allowed. Players or teams that win a prize, or a prize certificate, must be present at the award ceremony to pick it up; otherwise the prize will be declared void and will be raffled among the attendees.

Tie breakers:
In the event of a tie, it will be broken according to the cards according to USGA criteria, counting the last 9 holes (10 to 18).  If the tie persists, the last 6 holes (13-18) will be counted, then the last 3 holes (16-18), the last hole (18), and finally, hole-by-hole counting back from 18.

HOLE IN ONE

The hole-in-one will be assigned to the first player to make one in each par-3 hole. If a player makes another hole-in-one, it is considered first place in CPs. Holes-in-one will be considered individually.

For a hole-in-one to be valid:

  • Players must submit their official scorecards with the player's name and signature.
  • There must be at least 2 witnesses.
  • It must be completed on the first shot from the applicable marks.
  • Players must be 18 years old or older.
  • Players must make the shot from the specified minimum distance.

*Due to restrictions set by insurers, professional players and players under 18 years of age are not eligible to participate in the Hole-In-One awards.

The winner of any hole-in-one must cover the costs of the deductible, taxes, and any paperwork related to the prize. It is also the winner's responsibility to comply fully with the requirements imposed by the insurance companies and sponsors, releasing the Organizing Committee, BP Promotions and BP Investments from any liability or controversy that may arise from the hole(s)-in-one.

Note: If any player achieves a hole-in-one on the same par-3 hole, it will be considered the best CP for that hole. If another hole-in-one is scored on the same hole, it will be considered the second-best CP for that hole, and so on.

CANCELLATIONS

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel the tournament if the number of entries is less than 25 teams, in which case it will return the donation/registration fee for the teams that have registered within 15 working days. In case of force majeure it will be the decision of the Organizing Committee to suspend the tournament and determine the way in which the final results are calculated, or reschedule the event, either partially or in full. In both cases the decision will be unappealable and irrevocable.
